How does England Curry Capital work?

The History

The original competition was set up by the late Peter Grove who sadly passed away in 2016. He was passionate about Britain’s love for curry and wanted to highlight the culture and cuisine. The competition ran for 15 years, and five cities had been named “Curry Capital” – Bradford (the last city to hold the title back in 2016), Glasgow, Leicester, Birmingham, and West London.

Romail Gulzar founder of Pukaar Group have taken on the baton, modified the awards as an online event and have made it their mission to champion, highlight and crown the city which is “England Curry Capital”.
